The Congressman was running for state Governor and was at a town hall meeting fielding questions from voters. As usual, the topic of taxes came up and how they could be lowered.

“OK,” said the Congressman, “What type of taxation do you all find the fairest?”

There was a pause, and then an old white-haired man named Moishe in the back raised his hand. "The poll tax," he said.

"But the poll tax was repealed," replied the Congressman.

"Ach-ah," declared Moishe, "That's what I like about it."
