Shira Kaplan was radiant. All eyes were on the bride as her father and mother escorted her down the aisle. They reached the chuppah and the waiting groom; Shira kissed her father and placed something in his hand.

The guests in the front rows, and the Rabbi, responded with ripples of laughter. As her father gave her away in marriage, Shira had given him back his credit card.
