Messages I got from this video

Here are a few messages I got from this very sweet video: 1. If something is important to someone you love, make it important to you as well. 2. Parents (and other adults) can support children in many ways. Often the things that mean the most to children are experiences shared with a parent or other adult in their life. 3. When the mother took off her scarf at the end, it seemed to me that she was showing her daughter it's ok to have what may seem to be imperfections. Even though the mother did not have hair, something that seemingly bonded her and her daughter, the mother was not afraid to show her bare head to her daughter, who responded with a hug, symbolizing that the daughter's love is not dependent on externals. Great film!

A beautiful short video that shines a light on another side of love.

Having a beautiful, very young granddaughter with a full head of hair, and watching as her mother and grandmother make braids and comb and brush her hair, this video reminded me that love comes in many forms, from words to actions to hugs to combing a child's hair, boy or girl.
