You do realize that Jiminy Glick is not real.
I hope the commenters before me realize that Jiminy Glick is not a real person. He is a fictional comic persona played by Martin Short in costume. This was obviously a staged interview, although I would guess that it was unrehearsed, for effect, and that only the questions were actually scripted. The reactions and responses show why these men are both such outstanding comedians.

The interviewer's style is silly and offensive
It was difficult to listen through the interview due to the offensive and ridiculous style of the interviewer. Mel Brooks handled it with grace and aplomb.
