Has Bar Mitzvah entertainment gone too far?

This was hilarious. Pointing out a truth is not offensive!

I found this to be absolutely hilarious, and the reason why it was so funny was because of the kernel of truth it portrayed. There is nothing offensive about accurately portraying reality. Of course, you might find reality offensive, but that's another thing altogether.

Say what?!?!

I found this very offensive to both Jews and blacks, and from my own experience, also untrue.
If this truly is the case in some communities, I still fail to understand why this grossly racist little clip is funny in the least.

There's a bit of truth to it.

It's interesting to see the "Jewish" takeaway of the video vs. Key and Peele's social commentary. To the Jewish question, I would say, "yes", and it has been that way for a long time. I don't understand the prevalence of hip-hop stars and other modern music celebrities at Bar Mitzvah events, since the values they promote are directly against True Torah values..especially modesty.

But Key and Peele's commentary was about Jewish subtle prejudice, yet fascination toward blacks and black culture. I think that is more a Reform / Conservative Jewish phenomenon, or at least, I'd like to think so. Liberal Judaism tends to make Judaism something "kitschy", (e.g: "baseball-themed menorah), and I think the whole "rap-stars-at-the-bar-mitzvah-party" is a part of that phenomenon. But to me it was funny because there is that attitude among Jews toward Blacks.

I am surprised that Jewlarious posted this video. It was offensive and embarrassing. And not very funny.
