Yes with guidance

Parents are in a better place to notice Red flags that the infactuated child may not see. However they should get a second opinion from a neutral third party before saying anything to the child. There is a difference between not liking the way your child's date dresses and how he/she acts while drunk - for example. No one is perfect and to expect your child's date to be without flaws is completely unrealistic. However if they have anger control issues, issues when they are drunk, or issues about being tightfisted/or not caring about money - these are all red flags that may need to be resolved before your son/daughter should get married to this person. Everyone should merit to find their intended spouse and build an everlasting edifice.

what about if the in-laws don't get along?

I've heard that's a valid reason NOT to get married. B"SD
I'd never thought that way, but I'd like to hear what others say.
