missed one

he could have done Pi. I saw it in an Aish lecture many years ago in the Torah Codes lecture.as a ratio of the value by two rabbanim. I don't remember the details,. Also the distance to the moon to many decimals of accuracy.

The word Kedem is "Early" But I understand why they say Garden of Eden, that was here earlier. And 233/144 is 'phi'. Anyway, this is fascinating how the hebrew word for Kedem/early, and the hebrew word Eitz Hachaim -Tree of Life is 233 == 233/144 = 1.1618055 The Golden ration, in the Fibonacci Sequence very cool

pi is in the Torah

Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilna found the following source for Pi in the Torah.

The Gemora (ערובין י"ד) learns that pi equals 3 from the following verse (מלכים ז' כ"ג):

ויעש את הים מוצק עשר באמה משפתו עד שפתו עגול סביב... וקוה שלשים באמה יסוב אותו סביב
[Shlomo] made the "sea" of cast [metal] ten cubits from its lip to its lip, circular all around... and a thirty cubit line could encircle it all around.

In Halacha (i.e. size of a succah), pi is always considered to be 3. However, it is understood that this is an estimate. Tosfos points out that the number is not exact. The precise number can be found as follows. The word וקוה is read וקו, to mean "and a line" (referring to the circumference).

קוה = 111
קו = 106

The difference between the way it is written and the way it in read (ignoring the prefix vav - "and") equals the difference between 3 and pi.

106 / 111 = 3 / 3.1415

3(111/106) = 3.1415

עץ החיים is tree of life
גן עדן is the garden of eden whilst
קדם is or earlier or east,
BTW, where is this scene from?

Pi is the name of a film

Phi, not theta

*sigh* The writers did not do their homework. The golden ration is called Phi, not Theta.

Approximation of Pi

An even closer estimate of Pi is 355/133.

Don't be wowed by the wrong things.

I bet there *is* hidden wisdom in the Torah. But let's keep our findings to real wisdom, and not to purported hidden codes. These codes fail to impress people who have seen the following "wisdom" hidden in Hamlet. Jumble the letters of: "To be or not to be: that is the question, whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune." -- and you get:
"In one of the Bard's best-thought-of tragedies, our insistent hero, Hamlet, queries on two fronts about how life turns rotten."

Letter scrambles are easier than most people realize. A quick search on google can reveal many from various phrases, not just from eloquent writers. However, many of the messages that Gematria, the numerical value of hebrew letters, reveals is truly remarkable.

Creation on the basis of Pi

It came to me in a dream a couple of years ago -
Creation of the world was based upon Pi
Pi = 22/7, right?
22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet during 7 days...

Eli, January 28, 2014 8:17 PM

creation of world based on PI

Not sure where your source is that the creation of the world is connected to PI - but creation actually took 6 days.

Pinny, February 3, 2014 5:10 AM

"Rest" was a creation, too.

7 days is correct. On the seventh day Hashem created the concept of "rest".

On the other hand, Pi is not really equal to 22/7. That is just a rough estimate. It is an irrational number i.e., it cannot be exactly expressed by a ratio of 2 rational numbers. A better estimate would be 333/106.

333/106 works as well
יחיד ומיוחד is the equivalent of 106 (the Creator)
קוד הבריאה is the equivalent of 333 (the secret of creation)

High five!

Way to go; love it.

What does this mean?

I love this video...truly the way we were created to learn from Him.
I am confused though.
I love Hebrew, but wasn't raised Hebrew, but I learned my Czech Grandfather escaped the Nazi's and ran for 4 years before making it to Canada.
I was born on TuB'Shevat 1968, in the centre of 4Tetrad of Blood Moons. Also, it was Valentine's Day (Day of Love). The animal for Shevat is Wolf...my last name, Bohemian, is Vlček, "LittleWolf". My birthstone is the 12 FoundationGemstone of Heavenly Jerusalem, Amethyst. My birthsign is Water.
Abraham's blessing for Benjamin was that Benjamin would keep feeding/conquering/destroying like a WOLF in the morning, and sharing the spoils at night.
I was born February 14, 1968....baptised February 15, 1986.
(no, it was NEVER planned. at first, I didn't want to do it....8).

My last 2 birthdays 2018/2019 have fell on Blood Moons.
I had DNA tests with FamilyTree (largest Hebrew DNA database) to confirm my blood line. Can one make Aliyah permanently (work visa) based on DNA?
I have no documents from my Grandfather/mother from Czech republic.

Is it true 666 is the mark of the beast...meaning the Hebrew letter WWW, as in the Internet....it supposed to be "the mark of a man"...or...man-made.

This too, because it's just passed 2018AD, and Israel is returning home in droves...and flourishing...with backing from Russia as well as the US.

LittleCricket, February 17, 2021 11:53 AM

Circles...Pi is based on circles.

Pretty much everything in His universe is base on circles. Atoms, Electrons, Magnetism, Planets, Orbits, Solar Systems, Galaxies....except of Heaven, there are series of 4's, 12's and 144's....and His earthly Jerusalem. Israel.....
