Perlman, with Wheel Chair Shows Humility, Against Jealousy?

This video and the additional segment video on YouTube, are very inspiring. But on second viewing, I wondered why Itzhak Perlman needed to come on stage, with his wheel chair. He could have been positioned, before the interview started.

I think he tried to accomplish two things. One was to show hope for other handicapped people. Secondly, I think I wanted to discourage jealousy. People might be jealous of his talent, but they might also feel compassion for him, because of his disability.

Does the problem of JEALOUSY make sense?
How often do we try to help others, only to be rejected?
Perhaps, people reject help, because they are jealous of us.
Maybe, if we should them our own limitations, jealous would not be a factor, and more cooperation would happen... THANKS

Perlman Shows Us also about the value of Time and Timing

Music, itself, is all about timing and Itzhak Perlman shows us this.

First of all, he wants us to see how important an event from 60 years, ago can be.

Secondly, the music, itself, is all about timing.
Mozart said,
"The music is not in the notes, but in the silence, between."

Torah living, is also all about timing, right?

Becoming a Jew

On the 12th of Teves I will have been a Jew for five years. It was the best thing I have ever done in my life. I was seventy years old at the time so it was a lot of work but well worth it! Carole Bracha Paul
