My nephew, Avi Laks

Avi Laks has always been extremely caring and compassionate. This did not surprise us one iota!

Those boys parents and teachers should be proud of them.

Amazing how people walked by without offering to help.
My husband fell in Jerusalem. Passerby’s stopped to help. The street was not busy but passing cars stopped and drivers offered to take us to hospital.

Myself as well

Avi Laks is my nephew.

(12) It seems it was staged by a TV company, April 16, 2017 5:24 AM

so is real

You can see the friends smiling - seems they are candid

(11) Is this 'all natural'?, December 22, 2015 9:25 AM

Is it candid?

Were the boys 'arranged' or is this as real as it looks? Also, the sound of the 'sponge' is very clear; was he wearing a wireless mic? If it is real then it is a great Kiddush Hashem.

OK, even if it was staged, January 22, 2016 12:39 AM

It is still good

as a lesson. And it is a good example of what jews will do. The fact that others amy also does not minimize, but the fact is that Jews excel in kindness. (And the fact that there may be a few bad apples, does not disprove and disqualify the rest).

Not staged at all!

My nephew, Avner Dovid Laks, had no idea this was being recorded. He saw someone on the floor, and he immediately went to help!

This video made my day! So proud of the compassion of Jews!

Am Israel Chai! Despite whatever our problems may be, we are an AMAZING nation and must always hold our heads high and proud to be part of Am HaNivchar

That's nice, but...

I wonder how many Jews passed him by.

Mike, September 1, 2015 10:40 PM

you saw comment number 7, right?

Let me ask you: do you think that what happened in the video is a coincidence?
I rest my case
but you knew that, too, right?

Tyrona, September 4, 2015 1:33 AM

That's so not nice, but...

as a Jew, I'll forgive your comment.
What's wrong with looking at the positive in life-- especially when it's staring you in the face and you actually have to dig to find the negative?

According to SpongeBob Rights Watch

...the Jewish rescuers were looking to harvest organs.

(6) Frank, August 27, 2015 11:48 PM

It makes me happy

It again confirms to me the high opinion I have of Jews who are true to their ancient ways.

Nothing but admiration for the Jewish people

All my life I've heard derogatory remarks about Jews. When I started working for and with them, my opinion changed. I find that they are greatest people on earth. May G-d bless them and the nation of Israel

what a kiddush Hashem!!

people can be cruel,
but the Jews are a light to the nations

(3) Chani, August 27, 2015 4:47 PM

That's Judaism in action!

(2) Dvirah, August 27, 2015 3:26 PM

Another Thought...

It perhaps would have been more convincing if BobSponge had made some efforts to get up and failed.

I would imagine that most of the people passing knew this was a spoof, but the level of indifference is still chilling.
