The moon hs been getting farther away from the Earth for millions of years.

Thie premise of this entire video is false.
The moon has been slowly getting farther away from the Earth for millions of years. This is because of the oceans. The moon pulls on the oceans creating the tides, the Earth spins, moving the oceans and the moon gets a little kick to its vvelocity each day. As the mon gets faster, its orbit increases. It all comes out to some fraction of a millimeter each year.
Millions of years ago, to the dinosaurs, it would have appeard to be twice as large as it is now. Millions of years from now, it will look smaller.

The point is, the apparant similarity in size between the sun and the moon as seen from Earth is literally a coincidence of the time we are looking.
It is literally a coincidence of when we are living to look at it.

Also, the effect of the tides on the moon's orbit is a first year physics problem for graduate students, and the effect has been measured directly since the Apollo astronauts put a mirror on the moon the measure its distance directly.

the "premise" is a metaphor...

So, consider what it means that the moon has been distancing itself from earth.
Jews are to make the earth a dwelling place for G-dliness & should therefore stop distancing from earth.
If you flip two sixes on a pair of dice a million times, is that coincidence?
When does the improbably leave coincidence to indicate Providence?
Be consistent & look at evidence that is sufficient enough to declare someone guilty of a capital crime.
Interesting that Cynthia, Diana, is a huntress in European mythology, while for us, we reflect G-dly Light.

I felt very close to those questions, they were easy to answer.

Thank you for this inspiring video clip.

Rabbi Sinclair's message is so relevant for this time on our (lunar) calendar as we approach Tisha B'Av, when we mourn the destruction of both holy temples (Bayis Rishon & Bayis Sheini). It's also apropos for the current global wave of anti-Semitism.
Despite our lunar-like waxing and waning, the Jewish nation can take heart from G-d's promise that we are an eternal people. Our enemies may hate us for that fact alone but they are doomed to ultimate failure, just like all their predecessors.
