Comemorative Song

There is a lovely folk song which recounts the story, too bad it was not used for background music.

Interesting postscript

There is an interesting postscript to this story. Because the Arabs mutilated many of the bodies, they were unrecognizable for identification. As such, a goral hagra was performed by Rabbi Aryeh levin ("A Tzaddik in Jerusalem"). This was doen by taking a tanach and randomly choosing verses through some kabbalistic formula. This led to their identification.

May their memories be a blessing.
