and in the UN ????
By a fluke Israel and Switzerland are the MEDIAN (1/2 way along the order/range) average population of the UN 193 (?) members ! At one end there are India and China with a sixth of the World population each and at the small end there are about two dozen "states" mostly ocean islands or beach enclaves with less than a million people and half of them have under 100 000 people. The MEAN average UN member (the usual meaning of average - add the lot and divide by the number concerned) is in the upper 30millions population. Try similarly with the GDP as on IMF or World Bank figures for an even more interesting turnout - then you understand the jealousies.

12 Nobel prizes the highest per capita in the world
8.132.000/12 = 677.667 or one Nobel Prize winner pr 677.667 persons.
Iceland has a population of 320.000 and one Nobel prize winner. Not that this matters............

Number of gods: 1
Unlike the trinitarian West, when Israel says it's monotheistic it means it.

Not Only Mosques
Israel also has many churches, including many different denominations, and the Bahai Temple. They should also have been included in the count.
Also, for comparison, how many synagogues are there in, for example, Egypt?

Me Dor ve Dor
Remember the rabbinic tradition that only a fifth of the Jews in Egypt followed Moses to the Promised Land...?
Israel proves Zionism was right. Though it was not allowed to save the Jews of Europe and the US refused to; since Israeli independence we have not lost a community to the violent nationalism of others but saved the communities of the Arab World and the former Soviet Block, starting with the Arab Jews and Bulgarians about 1950, the Czechs at the end of the 50's the Romanians under Ceaucescu, the Ethiopians and the bulk of the Russian Jews when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.

Nice work
If you can find out...
How many mosques opened in Israel since 1948 vs how many synagogues opened since 1948 in Egypt, S Arabia, Iran etc?

Training your enemy is not the smartest thing to do
Israel is a tiny country with a small population. It's sole advantage has been its educational and technological edge. It is therefor simply idiotic and suicidal to ofer a top notch training to your enemies, so that they can narrow the technological gap.
And how obliging to offer the training in Arabic, too.

Not a good idea.
It is suicide, who would do that? Only people who were born brainless, if you going to do that why don't you just give them the country on a platter.
The politicians are the worst when it comes to selling their country, all for profit and or position of authority.

You worry too much!
Our sole advantage is not our educational edge, other countries have that, too, including Iran. Our advantage is that we are the People of Israel finally back in our native Land of Israel, and that is a source of blessing and protection from Above.
And it's not like they're sharing anything proprietary, these are basic courses. Sharing knowledge is part of our ethos as the Jewish People.
As we say in Israel, "Yihye be'Seder"!

Great! One typo needs fixing...
Love the info-graphic!
It's not likely that the number of online students from Egypt and Syria is the same, 1243. Please check and correct!
Yvette Alt Miller, May 6, 2014 1:09 PM
Number is correct!
Thanks for spotting that. Those numbers were reported in the media; of course by now it's possible even more students have started taking this course.

One More Not-So-Good
Falling Jewish population in the US, due to high intermarriage rate and low birth rate.
