Israel's First Special Ops Unit

During its brief existence, Unit 101 became embroiled in controversy that had (and still has) many questioning what actions can be justified when it comes to self-defense and self-preservation.

What do you think? Is it ever justified to kill others to ensure your own safety? Are large numbers of civilian deaths on the side of the enemies ever justified? Moreover, how does any democracy deal with what it believes to be a justified, ethical war, knowing that unethical tragedies will undoubtedly occur? These are really difficult issues. Let us know your opinion in the comment section below.

Britain in WW11

The RAF killed thousands of civilians and refugees in WW2 by bombing German cities like Hamburg and Dresden. When I was a student I had a Scottish friend who was a catholic. He wanted to marry a German girl who was a Protestant. Her parents opposed this not on religious grounds but because he was Scottish. At the end of the war Scottish soldiers in Germany went beserk killing and raping civilian girls. They were known as the Poisonous Dwarfs.

In the case of the Pal.-Israel conflict, one must take into account the fact that the Pal. want civilian deaths to bolster their version of the conflict - and when Israel doesn't oblige them, they manufacture their own corpses. Also, we see that from the very beginning the IDF made an effort to warn civilians and minimize damage to noncombatants - even if not always successful.

World War Two and the U S

In order to save many American Lives, two cites were destroyed. In the process The civilian populations were greatly decimated. Was this justified ?,I believe yes. When you initiated strive, be prepared to suffer the consequences Be aware of the danger to your civilian population. Thi s action was taken to avoid the additional loss of life had the war continued .So to the actions described in the above article

The most legendry military unit in Israel's History

Deuteronomy 13:9 is pretty clear

"..You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people."
