France's jewish community has flourished in 30 years.

i lived in Paris in 1980 and was there in July of 2014. I used to visit my relatives in Paris, some who were Holocaust survivors and some who ere Tunisian Jews. I lived near the Eiffel Tower and in 1980, there were not a lot of Jews in that area. When I returned this past summer, I saw a lot of Jews near the Eiffel Tower which is the 15th arrondissement and I also saw a kosher market. Despite the anti-semitism, Paris has a flourishing Jewish community and it would be sad to see it dwindle.

Many Jewish quarters are where ghettos used to be

was disgusted watching this video

especially in light of the recent developments in France (in the last 10 years, but also in the last year, I don't want to go into it).
Israel has seen a record high of Aliya from France -around 7500 Jews made Aliyah to Israel in 2014. -about double the number of Americans who make Aliyah.

Several things really disgusted me in the video, for example
the synagogue of the Rue de... Quote: "It was built in the 19th century. Used today by tourists and for holidays"

Another quote:
"Jews have contributed to all aspect of French culture.
For example Leon Blum, Prime Minister of France in the 1930s..."
I looked up his biography on wikipedia. Quotes from there:"On 13 February 1936, shortly before becoming Prime Minister, Blum was dragged from a car and almost beaten to death by the Camelots du Roi, a group of anti-Semites and royalists."

"Blum became the first socialist and the first Jew to serve as Prime Minister of France. As such he was an object of particular hatred to the Catholic and anti-Semitic right"

"In April 1943, the occupying Government had Blum imprisoned in Buchenwald in the section reserved for high-ranking prisoners"

"His brother René, the founder of the Ballet de l'Opéra à Monte Carlo, was arrested in Paris in 1942. He was deported to Auschwitz where, according to the Vrba-Wetzler report, he was tortured and killed in April 1943."

There really is no future for the Jews in France and the best thing they can do is to get out of there because things are not going to get better. The authorities have already folded.
There is no use in fooling oneself.

I acknowledge the effort that went to making this video. I suppose showing the reality and the real human tragedy that has happened so far and that is still unfolding would present a dark and disgusting picture

Don't Wait

Please, Please, Please, Don't wait until it's too late! The things you are seeing now are just the tips of the icebergs. I know it is hard to leave a beautiful home, friends and a nice living. But the one thing you will have that cannot be replaced (when you sell everything and leave for Israel or the U.S.) is your lives. That was something that 6 million Jews did not get the opportunity to leave with. There were so many people and countries hat betrayed them, and so many Jews did not have the resources to leave before the borders were closed, and they were rounded up. (After your family leaves, help another family that does not have the resources (as you do) to leave. God help us all. I cannot imagine the horror, the anguish, the sheer desperation of such a situation. Don't put yourself in that position! Leave quietly and do not cause a commotion. Do not look back. The terror, the killings, the detainings, the disrespect, the hatred and lack of support will be the call of the day in France and many other countries in Europe and around the world.
Anne Frank did say, "I think that in every person there is some good". Yes, she was right, but that goodness does not manifest itself until the remorse stage in peoples lives as they recollect the sins they committed during their lives, the sins of injustice and hatred. Please, Let's get back to the land of our Fathers, or the U.S. I am sorry to say "There are no other places for us to go"!. Lastly, there are many good people in the world who will help the Jews just as there have been all throughout history, and God will give them their roles in the next tribulation. But it is Gods plan for all of His children to return to the land of Israel for the coming of the Messiah. Be there with your families when He does arrive.

Dark side

Well done, interesting video. For a look at the darker side of life for Jews in today's France, haunted by the old specter of anti-Semitism, here is a segment on DW's "Focus On Europe", which takes a look at the disturbing situation through the life of one family, that reluctantly has decided to leave their beloved France.

On a Voice of Israel program, a guest's estimate on how many Jewish citizens were planning on immigrating, and how many more were seriously contemplating that move, where shocking.

Interestingly, the gentleman noted an INTERNAL migration as well, from ethnically mixed neighborhoods to predominantly white Christian areas, if I recall.
