Curious George’s Daring Escape from the Nazis

Hans and Margaret Rey, the German-Jewish couple who created Curious George, were living in Paris in 1940 when the Nazis were closing in.

Very interesting! I didn't know that the Reyes were Jewish! I did enjoy these books as a child.

Great story, they had chutzpah

I grew up reading "Curious George" books or stories. I remember the one where he , went sailing awaygot a bunch of lighter than air baloons and only holding them by the strings, he went sailing away. To where, I don't remember, but I loved all I read about Curious George.

Always loved Curious George now I know why!!!!!

Curious George was always part of our childhood and now I read them to my kids! Thank you for sharing this story/video. I will be showing it to my kids and anyone who cares to listen!!
