I remember something happening to me, and later on figured out what the message was. I promised to try to improve, and the next day, things were better. It might sound silly to some, but if something won't go away, we have to see what the message is in order to fix things.

Honestly? -- Yes & No

It seems to me that, yes, the message is simplistic in that there appears a direct causal relationship between Act 1 and Result 1, with G-d being the operating agent and tshuva the catalyst. However, the act and result are not specific states, but rather transcendent manifestations of the same, whereby our engagement with G-d is both the operating agent and catalyst. What's bugging me? interpreting prayer as a simplistic tool.

Practical Tools

For settling bite pain and swelling: Glycerol (glycerin), directly. For long-term safe suppression: diatomaceous earth (DE), dust-like microscopic shards of crushed diatom shells, which penetrate exoskeletons. Non-poisonous, doesn't "fade".

Its The name "BEDBUGS"

Thanks "Lori allways alive". Its in the name "bedbugs" - the Messege of "BED" represents the comfort zone of our lives, And thats probebly where we are miscomforting others and thats where we need to do Tshuva.

Incredible, the words of babes! Thank you for your honesty, for sharing with us a process of growth and devlopment. We once had bedbugs as well, and I must admit you are very strong to have dealt with it so well!

Do you really think that’s the way G-d works? Simple cause and effect? And that YOU've got HIM figured? Hey, it can’t hurt to look at and rectify what needs improvement in your life, but something about this simplistic approach is really bugging me.

Jewish mindset

Maybe the mindset we need to strive for is that G-d is sending us messages every moment of everyday- that's Jewish awareness! Thank you Laurie- very inspiring!

I enjoy listening to you so much! You have been such a blessing in my life. I am taking a good look at what is bugging me and it appears I am to blame for most of my problems! Thank you so much of this eye opener!!

Thank You.

Thank You for "Lori Almost Live." I was introduced to you through my non-Jewish Cousin in Japan spring 2007. I have enjoyed your program ever since, and most of the time I learn, absorb, ponder, and embrace your offerings, for I find that they transcend into all religions, spiritualities, and common sense. I thanked my Cousin long ago wholeheartedly for her thoughtfulness and insight. We are now beginning the journey of Mussar together via the internet, and maybe an occasional phone call with one another.

Being solicited

I put my index finger to my lips and go "shush," and then I say "good bye" and walk away. If they continue again the next time I say in a very firm tone (the same one I use when training my dogs), "no." Not loud, not mean, simply firm. And, I keep walking. Some of them are not as bright as my dogs, so it may take a bit longer to train them to leave you alone.

always moving forward.

thank you so much lori. your talks make us so aware not to look at the external only, but to really look and find out internally what is going on with us.

being solicited

What bugs me is being solicited things I don't need either at my bank or by missionaries approaching me. I feel tempted to or that I should've screamed at them telling them off, especially since I have been solicited the same thing just about every time such as a credit card offer or mortgage at my bank and Christianity from missionaries. So, how do I avoid such solicitations from bugging me, especially after several times being solicited, I've consistently said "no"?
