Adversity sometimes follows the Weaker.

When a person lives through something they feel is just the worst thing that could happen to them.... it isn't always from courage. They don't have a choice, they simply lived through it instead of dying. Going through a bad time means the end of the world to some people and is just a bump in the road to others. It's much about attitude and emotions. A weak, dependent person generally doesn't get stronger from adversity. A stronger person tries to understand how to fix the adversity, puts it behind them and becomes wiser. These people generally adjust their priorities toward what is truly life enhancing and what is petty.

Alone with God

When I went through the most painful time in my life, when doctors said I was too damaged for them to help and I would be in severe pain the rest of my life, I had no where else to turn to on this earth, so I went to God. He made this body so I knew he could repair it. During this nightmare I read my bible more I prayed more, I spent most of my time alone with God. Asking for help, asking for healing and asking for forgiveness. It was during this dark valley I learned who God the Father, my Father really is. His ways, his voice, his gentleness, his love and his forgiveness. I am a different person now after exiting this valley then the person I was entering. And believe it or not I thank God for putting me in this valley and walking with me through it. For if he hadn't loved me enough to give me all that alone time with him I would have never known him as intimate as I do now.

Re: The throw pillow coming out "wrong"

When a person is going through a trying time, the "wrong" throw pillow might very well be the last straw. Picture a mother of a special needs child getting the umpteenth phone call that her child has been suspended from school yet again. That mother was looking forward to relaxing on the throw pillow in her favorite color. Now picture that someone made a mistake and sent her a throw pillow in the wrong color. That incident coupled with her child's most current issue would make her feel most upset, to say the least. Petty? I think not. Dear Lori Palatnik--Please think about what I have just said. Thank you. Kol tuv.

I was angry because she also said god doesn't,t want me to get married. I no loner care about the why of my life. I just want Has hem to tell me how to get my life on track.

Hi Lori,
