Great video! I want to be part of it too! How much Jewish am I? I go somewhere and the Jews think I am Jewish. I look Jewish because of my ascendance, and I can't go back cause there is no Synagogue nor Rabbi here where I live...

We're Family

Unfortunately, feelinmg part of a family is not always the case. There are some frum neighborhoods, where if you don't keep up with the Schwartz's you're out of the loop. Then there are other neighborhoods, where people think they are on a higher "madraga," than others, and do not mix with them, and that puts people off.
Not so, in the community I live in. On Oct. 29th an 80 ft., oak tree fell on our house, and detroyed the entire upstairs. Luckily, baruch hashem, no one was hurt. We moved into a residence hotel, and will be here until the end of April while the top of our house has been reconstructed. In the meantime, the community of East Brunswick, New Jersey has been amazing to us, beyond words. Besides, the fact that we were housed for every single Shabbat, (although we stayed in the hotel for two Shabbosim, voluntarily) people called non-stop inviting us for meals and to help out in any way. We simply do not have enough Shabbosim left, before we i'h move back, to fill all the invitations. But more than that, we simply do not have the words to describe the Hakorat Ha'Tov that we feel towards East Brunswick, and in particular to the Young Israel of East Brunswick. These are special special people, of all ages and backgrounds, and I would dare to say, not found in too many places. If anyone is interested in moving here, I can assure you that you will love it and really feel not only part of a community, but part of a family.

wish it were really true, Liba

If a single person no longer in their reproductive years doesn't have family in Israel, or- second-best- a community with like life-style and values, my experience as an olah chadashah is that Israel is a very lonely place. Nu- convince me its not true...
