Patience, persistence and practice

Hello Rabbi— This is the second time I’ve heard this particular video, and wow! I love how you quoted Rabbi Weinberg saying I can’t is idolatry. There will ALWAYS be reasons why a particular challenge seems overwhelming, but if we take a deep dive we will be amazed at what we find. Wishing you and yours an easy and meaningful fast!

I would ADD working on HABITS / ATTITUDES (Avos 2.5 Strive 2B a man)

Dear Rabbi Sytner,

Great lesson. I must share this lesson and replay it for myself. But we can add:

1) We are creatures of HABIT and ATTITUDE.
It often takes much practice to change habits, routines, and attitudes.
(Rabbi Preida, in the Talmud, had a student who needed 400 repetitions)

2) Also, we have to cope with PEER PRESSURES.
Other people may discourage us, and reject us when we try to change.

3) The MASK suggests to me the idea of using DEVICES for VICES.
I have been using buttons, like the EASY button from Staples to push myself.
Much thanks H

You are such a beautiful soul, Rabbi Sytner. Thank you for your insight, and words of inspiration. It helps, so very much.
