A delicate balance

Hello Rabbi--
Words are EXTREMELY powerful and we must always think before speaking. With that said, I think it is crucial to remain realistic while remaining positive. You have beautifully illustrated the realistic piece by saying yes, this is where we are TODAY. You show great respect by not minimizing people's feelings. (I've seen FB memes which tell people to just pull themselves up by the bootstraps and to stop complaining. That sentiment helps nobody.) The positive piece is so powerful. No, this world situation will NOT last forever and we WILL reenter the world. Shavua tov. Stay healthy and safe!

Thank you so much

as I lay in the bed with a broken leg, I feel so empowered by your words, Rabbi. I am visualizing going back to the barn with my horses and friends and returning to riding my beloved horses. Thank you so much.
