Some thoughts

My understanding is that we so often are thinking about the future, planning for some upcoming thing, evaluating what the outcomes will be of any given decision, thinking about how the photos will look (modern twist), that we often lose our presence in the moment and how we can/should be serving the L-rd right now

I think the quote from Rabbi Salanter is different. I believe it is “spiritual needs are more important than physical, but another’s physical needs are my spiritual responsibility.”
