Time Angst:)

This is a beautiful and wise video. However, it's hard to not drop a ball or at least keep it off the ground at times. Some jobs require well over 40 hours to keep, or a second job may be be necessary. Staying in touch with friends can also take a fair amount of time; sometimes a family crisis can come up that can requires much attention, etc.. Thank G-D for Shabbat, to at least take a break (to some degree). That said, I do think one can do at least something to address each "ball", however small a gesture, and if there's a lack of balance, perhaps that's a sign to make fundamental changes. Perhaps that's the point of the article. But hard to pull off the balancing act when there seems to be a truly compelling case to just have the time to juggle even two or three "balls", let alone five of them:)

Variable Weighting

In juggling each ball stays in the air for the same amount of time in each cycle, but in real life the proportions can vary, and even their differences can vary. So one needs to decide at any moment how to "weight" one's "balls". Sometimes family will need most attention, sometimes work, sometimes oneself. The trick is not to get "stuck in a rut" with fixed proportions.

yes, life balance is an art

I agree with your comment completely. Making the right amount of time for each area takes real thought, advice from rabbi, spouse, therapist. See also the website myjuggler.com for more on your comment.
