Two Jews, three opinions

I am proud that Judaism is intellectually honest. It's a great feature of the religion. But I am not sure that Reform or Conservative Judaism are honest in terms of accepting the Torah as Divine. I would not call them dishonest, G-d forbid. But how can one be intellectually honest while saying that the mitzvot are not from Hashem?

Very nice

Very nice thoughts. It is necessary to mention, that though Judaism Does not say do everything or dont bother doing anything, because each mitzvah by itself is a treasure, nevertheless if one is able to do more and yet decides that he doesn't need to listen to God and the good deeds he does is enough, such a person is bad in the eyes of G-d.

To commenter #4 Daniel

There could be many reasons why a person chooses not to do more mitzvot. Maybe said individual is simply feeling depressed/overwhelmed by life's demands. To quote a former aish contributor (who needs to make a comeback!) it is something to think about.
