"What does 'Jew' mean?" - Parshat Vayigash

Vayigash (Genesis 44:18-47:27)

Dictionary.com says the verb 'to jew" means 'to bargain sharply with; beat down in price (often followed by down)." But what is the real meaning of this name?

Real Meaning

I do hope that the original meaning of the word - a shortened form of "Judean"; ie, citizen of Judea - also appears in the dictionary.

“Judean” does appear in the New Oxford American Dictionary.
