Informative and helpful.

We appreciate your time to teach. Since it is online, it helps when one is busy but no substitute for faithful fellowship at Temple. Thank you.

Jacob waited only one week to marry Rachel

In the fast pace of this oral account of the Patriarchs and Martriarchs, it was suggested that Jacob had to work
an additional 7 years to marry Rachel, While that is
true, what was left out was that Jacob had only to wait
one week after marrying Leah to marry Rachel. See Genesis
29:27-28. Then, after marrying Rachel, Jacob had to
work and additional 7 years for Laban. But, if one
listens to this oral account, one would be led to believe
that Jacob had to work an additional 7 years BEFORE he
was permitted to marry Rachel.
