My grandson would like to meet Mr Lewkowicz.

I was hoping you could enable me to take my 16 year old grandson who is very keen to meet survivors, to meet Mr Lewkowicz. I live in Jerusalem and my son is the Mashgiach Ruchani of a Yeshiva Gedola in Afula. Anytime before Rosh Chodesh Elul would be fine. Thank you for your assistance, Savta (descendant of Hungarian survivors who are no longer living).

We owe you thanks

Thank you for going after the nazi criminals who perpetrated such cruelty.
I hold all the German people responsible, as well as polish, as they stood by and did nothing.

What an amazing and inspiring man!

Instead of wallowing in his terrible pain and devastating loss, Mr. Lewkowicz acted bravely and humanely towards his fellow inmates and shared what food he could with them. He acted heroically once he was liberated! What a wonderful and special man!

so informative

Naftali did an incredible job. I met Mr. Lewkowicz at a Shabbos table 2 years ago and didnt know who he was. Then I found out. There is so much more to this man. How does he do it? Naftali did a great job. The video imaginary was very creative. It was so facinating I watched it twice and as I wanted to understand every detail.

Inspiring, one-of-a-kind human being

The video was beautifully presented, about a beautiful person. May he know only joy ad meah v'esrim. May I suggest that the video come with a warning about extremely disturbing content. I had to turn away several times, and at the end I sobbed for long minutes. I understand this is all true, but it was maybe too intense for some of us.

An unusual and very moving account of the holocaust

A a child of holocaust survivors, I've met many holocaust survivors. I grew up under the shadow of the holocaust and heard many stories directly from the survivors. But this detailed,, comprehensive and precise account, complete with actual videos of Mr Lefkowitz revisiting the horror camps and telling his story is unique and very compelling. It should be required reading for all.

Interestingly enough, my father told me an almost identical story of when he went back to his home in Tarnow. A Pole was living there and my father asked permission to look around. They let him in and he saw a needlepoint hanging on the wall that his sister had made. He asked if he could have it but the Pole swore up and down that it was in his family for years. My father left and never went back.

Heartbreaking and Inspiring

Thank you Joseph for sharing your unbelievable story. The pain you experienced is unfathomable yet you went on to make a difference and inspire so many. This story makes me take a step back and think about what is important in life. May the impact you continue to have on so many bring an aliyah for the precious Neshamos that were lost. Hashem should should give you strength to continue your holy work.

This is the first time we saw the camps where our parents worked. We heard the descriptions of the tunnels in Ebensee and to see it live is very sobering! It is an eye opener!! Thank you.
May Hashem avenge the blood of all those murdered.

Well done video that needs to be watched!

What an astonishing man, Joseph is! You captured the atrocities, pain, and loss of the Shoah from a witness’s account. He could have easily been satisfied with surviving & lived his life. To see that he hunted nazis and then looked for Jewish children after surviving was so empowering. Thank you for sharing this magnificent story in such a skillful way.

Deeply moving account

Difficult To comment I think this is the most comprehensive , factual account of the Holocaust I’ve ever seen. Deeply moving stories of one very special man’s journey from child to senior years . From pre Holocaust to today , Josef manages to deliver an accurate, simple, meaningful , honest and unembelished account of the tragedy of our people

Fabulous viewing for TishA"bov

A very important film to see. Mr. Lefkowitz Showed us first hand what so many endured in the holocausts and preserved and survived.
I salute him and his family.

(3) Michael Kaufman, July 18, 2021 4:10 PM

Very important. Should be widely viewed. But (difficult) edit to 30 minutes.

An incredible human being whose story -- and the story of the Holocaust -- is well depicted. Difficult as it surely is, it must be reduced to no more than 30 minutes to be widely viewed.

Yasher Koach!
