This was so beautiful, gracious and inspiring. What this man endured under the cruel barbaric Nazi Holocaust is incredible. We can all learn much from his heartfelt words. Everyone in the world rich or poor should hear this man’s take on life after such evil doings to himself, his loved ones and the six million Jews tortured and savagely killed.

He expounded the secret of living, be happy today and spread it around

Yesterday is done and dusted, tomorrow is unknown. but the here and now is what matters. Have your friend walk beside you ,it lightens the load and puts a spring in your step. It was a miracle that he survived. even to be a witness to the evils of the German regime. We are taught that one person can change a world, especially so , with a smile

Inspiring message about being happy

I applaud this 99 yr old gentleman who spoke about the horrors he experienced during the Holocaust, the sadness he felt but then how he turned it around to become happy appreciating family, friends and making others smile. The message he ended with was "Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend." I'd like to add the last line: "And together we will walk in the ways of Hashem."

The world should never forget.

A touching story of survival. What a positive attitude after experiencing such unbelievable horror and surviving to tell his story to the world.

God bless this man

This man was amazing because he was happy most of his life. He lived through a horrible childhood, and yet, he has made peace within. Anyone who questions the despicable and unimaginable horror that was the Holocaust, should know that twelve million people lost their lives at the hand of a monster, Adolph Hitler.

What a wonderful, forgiving, first class human being.

I wish there was a word bigger than thank you... something closer to the heart to express my gratitude to Mr. Jaku. You lived to give the world a profound and heartfelt testimony - it is possible to overcome evil with love. Love for God, love for life, and love for people. I am virtually joining the crowd that stood to applaud you. My respect, Sir!

No, one should not hate one's enemies - but one MUST defend oneself!

Mr. Jaku, yasher koach for a timely, smart video.

Thank you Mr. Jaku for such an inspiring, uplifting message. Mr. Jaku has lived and witnessed the depths of hell that humanity offers, yet offers as his main message one of happiness and beauty. Like Dayenu, it is enough for anyone else to be thankful for every day that Hashem gives you.

Wonderful and inspiring talk ... just what I needed, in a time of craziness!

There are a select number of strong willed people that are needed to speak out, as Ed did, inspiring us to do the right thing and follow our aspirations and not listen to the naysayers, especially in this time, where others are trying to divide us because of there hate of society, as a whole!

Tragic story w a glorious ending b/c of gratefulness & forgiveness

My early education included knowledge of Holocaust horrors; have always marveled that survivors were able to go on achieving, contributing, rejoicing in life. Amazing fortitude and great examples of strength and courage.

1935: The Nürnberg Laws for the Protection of Aryan Blood

From CBS: "Floyd's killing last May drew outrage and world wide reckoning on police reform and racial justice."
The 1935 Nurnberg Laws for the Protection of Aryan blood disenfranchised
jewish Germans and paved the way to the murder of 6 million Jews, including my family. And the world stood silently by. Today, a mere 75-years later, antisemitism is resurgent again. Why?

A truly wonderful video. A man who really knows how to treat life.

Happiness is a Choice

Here is a man who shows that happiness is a choice a person makes, not the result of having an easy life.

Words to live by!

What a model of perseverance! From the pit to happiness. Great inspiration from a Man who faced the greatest adversity. Eddie gives us hope, inspiration, and motivation to keep moving forward and connecting with people. He also reminds us to slow down, be in the moment and cherish each day.
