origin of anti-Semitic tropes

excellent well-researched and visually appealing article which educates us on the history of anti-Semitism. does this hatred really go back to one disaffected Russian Jew whose fanatical hatred can never be extinguished? Surely God is more powerful than that.

I wish that everyone on earth would love and respect everyone else. Let peace begin with me.

Uber Rich Billionaires

Our OPEN response to the Anti-Semitic Trope - that Jews control the worlds money - should be - to show the Forbes List of the worlds wealthiest people. Especially - the UBER Rich Billionaires.

Then ask those who pose the trope - IF - the Jews - control the worlds wealth.
HOW - and WHY - are so many of the worlds NON-JEWISH wealthiest Uber Rich Billionaires - able to get to - the TOP OF THE FORBES LIST?
They're not Jews.
The Jews - can't - and don't control their VAST FORTUNES.

These same Uber Rich Billionaires - openly - and quietly communicate among themselves. Especially - at their meetings in Switzerland. And the Jews - don't dictate what their agenda is - or should be.

Communities that want to dissolve their police forces should be allowed to do so, with the understanding that in addition to no police help for roberries or domestic security, they are giving up their ambulance, fire and emergency services. And as a footnote. They will not be open to food delivery or Garbage removal. It is a given that many people will wish to move away, thus creating dead zones and possibly a ghetto, but we didn't create these either.

Source of Trope - every thing that happens is because of the Jews

There is a Torah teaching that every thing happens because of the Jews. This doesn't mean that the Jews organize the events, but that H" controls what happens for the Jews. Missing from this video is the source of antisemitism - assimilation. This is rampant in the world and the antisemitism reminds assimilated Jews of their identity

Unpacked is just the best!

Always so well done!

To the best of my understanding, the nation's of the world respect Jews who behave according to the Shulchan Aruch. The problem of antisemitism arises when we try to behave like non Jews. When we prominently attend their circuses and stadiums, when we socialize and intermarry their sons and daughters, when we do business according to their rules, then they resent and reject us. This happened in Mitzrayim, in Babylonia, in Greece and in Rome. When we "invaded" their turf, they pushed us back.

Missing Data

What the video lacks is any refutation of the charge of domination. It's an essential for people who may be wavering and need factual content. Perhaps a discussion of the motives for the trope on behalf of its inventors.

Great history lesson, but what do we do about today's violent attacks?

Great history lesson, but what do we do about today's violent attacks against our Jewish places of worship and persons? The United States has become like Europe in that we have hardened our synagogues and now make little or no outward display of our Jewishness. Is the only solution 'move to Israel'? What about stand-your-ground, fight-back, an-eye-for-an-eye? No answer is no solution.

The state of Antisemitism in Oxford

I would like to see some more focused research on how universities are changing in the West. This is where we are losing the battle.

Abdul, July 26, 2020 8:18 PM

So I had a really weird experience, I march for all rights, advocate for Jewish rights in the Middle East, including re- educating people in my local mosque. However, the most difficult place, shockingly, was university. An instance of this was during a lecture at the University of Middlesex, which ironically is besides the biggest Jewish community in the UK. In this lecture, we were learning about the Shomrim(criminology), the lecturer (secular atheist of Jewish origin) went on to say how The Torah commands Jews not to speak of other Jews wrongdoings, so for that reason, the Shomrim should be abolished. I was flabbergasted, it hit me when I watched this video that some anti-semitism has Jewish origins. Although, why on earth would a lecturer disseminate information, at a university that was known to have extremists (Jihadi John’s sister attended), whilst also being within proximity of the biggest Jewish community.

Thank you, Abdul

You sound like a genuine truth-seeker and an interesting person.

Abdul, July 27, 2020 11:27 AM

Thank you for your kind words, Tova.

I find not watching the news, actually meeting/communicating with people from stereotyped communities and factual research to be the perfect antidote.

interesting and factual presentation on anti-Semitism. However I feel my perspective of anti-Semitism, that I wrote in an article, Freedom Begins From Within, is much better. The article is posted on my website
Thank you and best regards, Ernie.

Excellent summary. Next, please provide the opposite: what Jews and Israel provide the world. Perhaps something like “What would the world be like today if the Jew did not exist.”

Old News

Amazing that Jews cannot discuss antisemitism without focusing on far right (white) Yes it is true, but they are fringe minority. No mention of Muslims and far left (now gaining control of democrat party). Over billion Muslims in the world teaching from birth lies and hatred of Jews. Expose what is taught in Muslim world, look no further than Muslims in our Congress and government. Then there is "Black Lives Matter" anti Israel (Jews) in their policies, comparing themselves to so called Palestinians. Wake up and get some courage.

Anonymous, July 26, 2020 8:25 PM

It will come within time, unfortunately Muslims and Jews don’t intermix as much, hence the suspicion and ease to radicalise Muslims against Jews. Luckily, I had many friends(mainly online) as did my brother. Despite, all the anti-Semitic tropes we would hear day in and day out, they fell on deaf ears. It is our obligation to stop racism and anti-semitism, which is high in my community. Gradually racism towards blacks has hit an all time low, dare I say it, anti-semitism( although not apparent), is hitting an all time low. I’m a Shi’ite Muslim FYI, so I can’t speak for other people. Keep mingling, the Jewish community has been pushed to assimilate into so many cultures, just to avoid persecution. Trust G-d, keep speaking to Muslims, interact with them and kill of those stupid tropes. It is neurological, I’ve converted many anti-semites to friends of Jews, by making them read Jewish publications, books and meeting people (most importantly). P.S. it’s the fusiform area of the brain, the more you read/see someone, the more attracted and less prejudice you hold of them.

Anti Semitic and its emotional toll on American and European Jewry

The Big nosed Jew pictures have been used by BDS funded college groups and anti Jew white supremacist groups in the last ten years. The impact or isolation a business or person feels when targeted by these groups is overwhelming. The direction of hated has increased. The action not just voice of these groups are increasing.

American Jewry must become a more vocal group on college campus’ on all Jewish issues and shape the type of political classes And discussions that are being led to our emerging youth. A voice not heard can not effect an audience. One must speak to be heard. The Jewish voice must be voiced.

The Israeli country position should be told . Israel is a Nation, not just a Jewish agenda. The 360 degree position of the Palestinian agenda can not be told void of Israel or Jewry itself. However, refusing to teach the Israeli position is not working. Accepting criticism, creating positive dialogue can create solidarity for the Israeli Nation. Young American Jews such as Peter Beinart are reasoning the struggle of Palestinian vs Jews as futile and are asking for the disassembling of Israel as a Nation State. This is absurd. We can have struggles with issues of human lives And not equate the outside human condition issue as a failure of Judaism or the Nation State of Israel.
I do not have all the answers but I know that a homeland for Jews includes the Nation Of Israel. We could not even have a Jewish Agenda without the security, voice, and history of Israel.

Instructive, Professional, Succinct and brilliant

Need to get this video out to the nations! I would urge you to write these scripts with the nations in mind! Most ethnic groups have their own vocabulary! They also see through the lens of their own experience! The Jewish people understood the video. There is a group that love is and this would be fader for their live and Support!

(3) Abdul, July 26, 2020 1:56 PM

Great video, although I am annoyed at the fact you left out anti-semitism in North America and Western Europe (beyond Germany). You have not mentioned Henry Ford, his publication of ‘The International Jew’ and his dissemination of the elders of Zion. Keep up the good work.

(2) Gershom, July 26, 2020 1:56 PM

We need to revisit ......

The video - covered the surface manifestation - of this festering Anti-Semitisim.
However - I think the author - like so many others - overlooks a very important element.
In the Torah - G-D - said He'd punish us 7X7 times - for not keeping His Torah Commandments and Laws - and treating Him - CASUALLY - while doing so.

We need to revisit our relationship with G-D - and how we're keeping His Torah Laws and Commandments.

We - need to seek out G-D - and ask Him - to clearly show us - what we're doing wrong - Spiritually - Mentally - Emotionally - Physically - and maybe even Financially. We need to ask Him to help us - CORRECT - our EGREGIOUS ERRORS. OR - we are going to be subject to - more of the same.

Well Done

I found this piece informative.
Beyond Jew hatred by others peoples, how do we tackle Jew hatred by leftist Jews in America? I'm referring to Jews who continue to whole-heartedly support the anti-Israel, anti-Jewish democratic platform, many without even batting an eyelash. Sanders and his ilk, who hug the likes of Sarsour - what's the remedy here? My assumption is that they, like the German Jews prior to WW2, think they will be immune.
Is there a way to reach them? The best defense against Jew hatred is Jewish Unity and Pride. AM YISROEL CHAI.

Rachok, July 26, 2020 1:22 PM

Sad response

Regina - Your denigration of Jews who hold a different political view then yours says more about your own hatred of Jews than it does about failings of the Democratic party.

Regina, July 26, 2020 5:01 PM

Thank you for sharing

Dear Rachok,
I hope this finds you well and safe.
Why on earth would it be a reasonable thing to accept people's views which encourage the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people?
I'm a child of holocaust survivors, Rachok - that gives me full license to point out insanity when I hear and see it.

Anonymous, July 27, 2020 4:45 AM

Rachok....Regina is pointing out......

....a serious problem among many Jews in America who are asleep at the wheel. They think they understand the Middle-east conflict (and are quite supercilious about it), and they undermine our very safety here in Israel. Regina is not denigrating them at all. She is asking how to help them out of their destructive stupidity.

Regina, July 27, 2020 2:37 PM

Thank you for clarifying

I really appreciate it!
