Gave up the gold for stone

The Wall has represented 2000 years of our aspirations, both religious and political. However, we failed in 1967 when the Temple Mount was liberated. Instead of liberating the wall and running up to PRAY on the Temple Mount, we proclaimed “the Temple Mount is in our hands” and ran down to pray by the wall. To make matters worse, Moshe Dayan gave our greatest treasure back to our enemies soon after he ordered the troops to remove the Israeli flag they had tied to the fence above the wall at the edge of the Temple Mount. The western wall was never part of the Temple. The western wall is not the wall of the building. The western wall is a retaining wall that Herod built to contain the thousands of tons of soil and rock when he expanded the size of the Temple Mount. There are also southern and eastern walls. Very practical reason why the Romans did not destroy the western wall. Each stone weighs tons and the wall is three layers deep. Also, the wall was/is but a retaining wall, not a wall of a building.
