Jewish Rapper Responds to Wiley

Some British rapper full of hate tweeting dangerous views, makes me wonder if there’s any safe space for the Jews.

It’s 2020 and I’m facing the truth
Cuz racial abuse is still making the news
Some British rapper full hate tweeting dangerous views
Makes me wonder if there’s any safe space for the Jews
You say it’s isolated try to make an excuse
But this isn’t the first time we’ve been blamed and accused
Might not be my place to intrude
But if I don’t then who will? Let me educate for a few
They say we own the banks like we roll in diamonds
That we also run the Law vast global alliance
Israeli Illuminati, Protocols of Zion
And the more we deny it only shows we’re lying
But those are lies and fake quotes
I suggest you let the hate go
History lesson in session, better take notes
As far as pain goes
Jewish people are the main show
Sounds insane but I don’t make jokes
Every country made us scapegoats
We’re the “give ‘em all the blame” folks
We’re the “put ‘em all the to shame” folks
Kicked us out without so much as a raincoat
Expelled from Rome, expelled from England
Don’t forget France, Portugal, and Spain though
Hoping that we get a chance to claim home
Instead they sent us where those Auschwitz trains go
That’s why we put our foot down and we say no
When you say we own all of the banknotes
Hear you using all the same tropes
That our enemies shared
Then call us touchy like we don’t get to be scared
But we’ve had enough accusations of heresy, conspiracy
Finally this time we’re better prepared
So when even one Jew is threatened we care
Cuz we all know we gotta destiny shared
And you know what? A lot of us do prosper
Finance, lawyers and Jewish doctors
Cuz we value hard work and we do it proper
Not saying that you don’t but don’t call us impostors
You can’t pretend
We were all born privileged and weak-skinned
When our grandparents grew up in the East End
Kept the Sabbath so they got fired every weekend
Finally making ends meet now they’re swimming in the deep end
Success is Jewish revenge
So next time think twice before you’re tweetin’
A bunch of lies you can’t defend
And since when is ambition a crime
We were hoping things could be different this time
But you’re proof Anti-Semitisim’s alive
I heard your rant, I hope you listen to mine.

Excellent Rebuke

It is nice to hear facts being put out there to confront the lies and propaganda. Ignorance is extremely dangerous. In the end, every person chooses to believe what they desire to believe. HaShem (The Creator of us all) knows the heart and mind of every person. People who mindlessly hate others based on age old lies and slander and so willing to easily jump on the hate train to slander and condemn others without concern for their own motivation and without proper reflection and correction on the things they need to fix within themselves first, they will meet the same fate as the terrorists. There is NO EXCUSE ...not any time and certainly NOT TODAY for WILLFUL IGNORANCE, HATE and DISCRIMINATION! If every person took the opportunity to get a REAL Education, to seek truth and true justice, they would NOT single out entire groups or a nation of people and try to label them. Every person is unique and has their own specific path, experiences, circumstances and purpose in life. Racism and Antisemitism are the same! These have NO PLACE in the modern world or in any world! It is DISGUSTING & SHAMEFUL to CHOOSE to be so NARROW-MINDED and be LED BY HATE & ENVY in this day and age! It is Utterly Shameful and Sad!

I am proud that we are standing up for ourselves. Am Yisroel Chai

Wish provides a wonderful service for Jews to keep abreast of what is happening in the Jewish world combined with the lighter side of life.

There are no safe spaces for Jews, oh wait, except for Israel.

Safe spaces, micro aggressions all signs of brainwashed college students. Imaginary racism because of “feelings”. There is real racism. “ I hope you listen” isn’t combatting it. If your rap is successful your debate has to impact the listener like a punch to the intellect. I think in that way, it’s not rap, it’s a rhyme. This anti Semitic rapper has a chip on his shoulder. It isn’t an iPhone chip obviously because that was invented in Israel! I’m glad you called him out. I want to win over stupidity not martyr myself. Next time, take him out intellectually and psychologically. You punch people where they’re weakest, not where they’re strongest. Anti Semitism is envy in part. A good rapper should point this out in the most positive way, bragging rights!

This is great

Israel has empowered us to speak truth to all the awful lies. We have a place to call home. How much harder it was to face the hatred when we lived as barely tolerated strangers and had nowhere else to go. {I think I inadvertently wrote some rap lyrics.]

Only rap I enjoyed

In the '60's this would have been poetry at a coffee house and everyone would have returned again & again.
The content undeniable. A Jewish rapper! Who's the audience?
Outstanding. Best lyrics since Bob Dylan appeared

Great rap - but this is for us. The only response to them is solidarity and defiant kindness.

Though Rap has a reputation steeped in violence, it is, in fact, a powerful tool for peace.

Rap, and hip-hop in general, started as a major tool in brokering peace between the gangs of the South Bronx. In fact, one of our own people - Benji Melendez, a Puerto Rican cryptojew - was a key figure in the Hoe Avenue Peace Meeting. It established a precedent for nonviolent meetings to avoid street warfare, something Melendez dedicated a lot of his life and music to.

It's important to keep in mind that "The Jews" are not white. There are Jews of every color and background, and we are all equal in the eyes of G-d, just as all people are all equal in the eyes of G-d. What's more, we are all brothers and sisters as his children. Whatever success many of us may have achieved, we need to keep that in mind.

People like Benji Melendez are proof that we are not who the haters say we are, and we need to celebrate him to remind others and ourselves of that. The only people who want us to fight our brothers and sisters of color are those who fear what we would become if we could unite in peace and prosperity.

I truly believe that the only way to resist hate is with love. The haters want us to hate back - and I refuse.

May we all find our better selves in this dark time.

goose pimples...

What will it take?

(3) Jerry, August 6, 2020 3:15 PM

well put

I also do not care for rapping but this chap hit the nail on the head. As a people of peace it has always surprised me how much abuse, for the most outrageous excuse, we have to take. Since we believe G-d is in charge and manages things, what is His reason for this?

Creative and compelling messaging!

Normally, I don't like anything about rap music, but the message here is so compelling and packaged in a medium that appeals to the intended audience. Hope it goes viral and I'll do my small part to make that happen.

Hard to understand this crazy world

Most of these rappers are low-life and are of low intelligence, so why do they get such a lot of coverage? Same thing with many of the sports stars. And also Hollywood stars. In their private lives there is usually, but not always, little or no morality and their dress code is quite vulgar. Yet the world looks at them as heroes and we, the Jewish People, a nation of Priest and Prophets, have to defend ourselves against them. It just doesn't make sense that the world looks up to these lowly people. At least we should know who we are and who they are.
