So wonderful this Truth... ??????

My Shabbat comes only when I have my day off from work, any day during the week. I truly take advantage of my 7th day.

Tonight & Pesach

Tonight I joined some friends for the 1st seder of Passover. A local restaurant was hosting the seder which was led by a local Cantor. Our party of four's reservation fell on my shoulders to make & confirm. I did so weeks ago. We arrived early only to find they didn't see the reservation & the tables were full. My embarassment, hurt and sense of injustice kicked in. Like a goid Jewess, I played attorney with the manager. I was very upset. Then I stepped away to wait. I sat down & asked G-d why, on such an imoortant night was this happening? I closed my eyes & said a prayer. We were seated. Most of the seder had been missed at this point, but we were there for the meal & after meal part of this service. I just got home, sat down, saw this video and it brought me inner calm, a peace where I had felt none. I remembered this is also Shabbat. I needed to stop & step back from my emotions, remember the double blessing of this night, our freedom & gift of Torah. It's a wonderful explanation of why Shabbat is so important. I feel I must return to my observance of this important part of my faith. My goal now is to find a shul close to my home and attend Shabbat services as I used to - always leaving lighter, happier, more peaceful. The light of my soul shining brighter (the part of G-d that's part of me) I thank you for this video. Shabbat Shalom!
