Speaking from my experience as a preschool teacher for the last 37 years, I for one have only experienced negative responses by little boys when they pretend they are superheroes. They start to act out in a violent manner fighting with their peers at school while they wear their capes and pick up anything on the playground to let it serve as a weapon. When I ask them why are they are doing that, they say, I’m a superhero. I have been observing this for years and feel our job would be a lot easier if it was never created.

Not Surprising

Unfortunately, for all the attempted depth of superhero stories, they still perpetuate the myth that all problems can be solved by beating someone up. Small children see the action and are not yet mature enough to respond to the deeper issues in the story.

explains something about me... :-)

This must explain why I go around referring to myself as "meek and mild-mannered Yossie Schwartz*" (*name changed to preserve secret identity). It's not of course because I am meek and mild-mannered...

Otherwise, very nice video.

Super heroes

My brother liked the super heroes. Even as a child I didn’t like anything that was so superficial.. When my daughter was about 5 she was watching the first superman movie, she sighed and said, why haven’t we got a superman..
My heart broke. I was so angry with myself.. I had been reading psalms to my daughters, and even wrote psalm 21 out for them to put above their beds.. But had I told them about G-d? So I sat her on my lap and told her about G-d and all the miracles He had done for the Jewish people.. I told her He is there if she ever needs Him, and He is greater than superman who has his weakness’..
From day day on she believed she had her very own superman! And she never sighed or worried again.. I love The G-d of Israel with all my heart and soul for always being there for my children. And I love Him more for always helping His people! xxx

Brilliant yet simple

I got My sons to read using Superhero comic books. They are approaching 50 and get lost in graphic novels. But that’s not the story it’s about what makes a human a hero

Thank you!!!!

I cannot express how much I appreciate this video. The words, the rhyme, the rhythm are superb. But the content… you have mirrored my own fascination with and quest for truth within the Marvel Universe… thank you.
